Friends of Newcastle Performing Arts Centre

This is an independent voluntary organisation that supports the music groups that run at the Seabridge Community Centre on Saturday mornings. This web page keeps you up to date with what is happening - dates, times, concerts, and so on.

These groups will meet at Seabridge Primary School (but parking in the Centre car park as before): Centre String Ensemble 9.30-12, Intermediate String Orchestra (conducted by Mr Edwards) 9.30-11.30. Training String Orchestra 9.30-11.30.

These groups meet at the Seabridge Centre like last year: Concert Band 9.30-12, Brass Band 9-10.30, Training Wind Band 9.30-11.30, Just Winds Ensemble 9.30-11.30 (all flute/clarinet&sax/junior brass members). Junior Brass 11am-12 midday. NPAC choir 11.30-12.30 (all NPAC members welcome and wanted). Theory 11.30-12.30.

Remember that all groups meet at the same time this year - there are no longer A nd B weeks. These are the dates (meeting every other Saturday): Sept 21, Oct 5, 19, Nov 16, 30, Dec 7 (concert). Jan 11, 25, Feb 8, Mar 8, 22, April 5, May 10, June 7, 21, 28 (concert).

The musical activities are run by the Music and Performing Arts Service/Entrust. The lead staff member, Mr Paul Hughes, can be contacted at Music and Performing Arts Service, 56 Eastgate Street, Stafford, ST16 2LY. Telephone Stafford (01785) 278278. Subscriptions are collected at the start of the Autumn Term, or when a child joins a group if this is part-way through the year.

There is an emergency contact number 07972 506 637, which is available between 8am-2pm on Saturday rehearsal days and on concert days from 8am until the concert finish. Parents can get through to Paul Hughes in the case of an emergency.
